Finally... Before Pictures!

Well, I am a little late but I am finally getting around to posting some pictures of the house transformation!

The house is still not decorated (at all). But that is all thanks to Dave Ramsey. ;)

My friend, Katie, visited this weekend and she helped me get a better sense of exactly what I want to do in most of the rooms! (Thanks, Katie!!!)

All nap time allowed today was time for uploading the before pictures... I will do the progress pictures at a later time... hopefully soon :D

I am so sorry about the long lapse in posting! I just *know* you all are checking here everyday to see what is new! (sarcasm)

Life has been so busy that I haven't even brought any more boxes in from the garage and have only managed to fully unpack Hadley's room. Nothing is decorated. Sad. Sad. Sad.

In other news: My iMac is arriving today!
::cue Grammy speech, complete with tears::

I am hoping to be able to blog more in the evenings. You know, so that I can spend time blogging and not working in the house. :)

{Friday! Really!}

This has been such a long week! We have had Revival service at church each night since Monday and it has been great! I am certainly very worn out though!

Since we haven't been home before 10:00pm this week, it has been difficult to do anything productive in the house. :(

H and I are attending the Great Cloth Diaper Change tomorrow in Tulsa and then we are going to one of my younger brother's birthday parties. So, there won't be much happening in the house this weekend, either!

A great friend of mine is letting me borrow her laptop for a week or so while I catch up on my math class that I am terribly behind in, so hopefully I will also be able to upload the before/after pictures of the house project from last weekend!

{Operation Old-lady-wallpaper Removal:Complete}

Whoa.
like.whoa.

That was some intense wallpaper, people. It erred on the side of ridiculous-ness. I am so thankful for all the help we had and will do a long post about it soon(ish)...but for now, just know that I am alive, there is no wallpaper left to be spoken of, and we stayed our first night in the house last night.

{Friday!} kind of.

Today is my friday! I am taking a couple vacation days to start Operation Old-lady-wallpaper- Removal + new paint!


As of a few signatures after 9:00 am CST tomorrow, we will no longer be homeless! And we will have a 'big kid' mortgage payment. (that last sentence is less exciting)


I am so thankful for my parents, who have let us stay with them the last two weeks (free rent & yummy food!) I am also very thankful for Q's parents who help us with H so often.


<random> I have gone back and forth on whether I should share 'life stuff' here, or start another blog for that. But, let's be honest, I am going to have a hard enough time committing to this one, much less another one! So, I thought I would share some pictures from Easter this past weekend, because I am one proud wife, mama, sister, daughter, etc. What do you think? If you read this do you want to see 'life stuff' here, too? I guess technically I am talking to myself but that isn't anything new! <end random>

{Inspiration}

I am getting so anxious to start on the house, so I thought I would go ahead and share my (current) inspiration with you!

Thanks to the lovely Pinterest, I found this amazing blog. The foyer in her Florida home was what I saw first and then, my-oh-my... it just keeps getting better!! The living room, THE KITCHEN!!! I kind of had house-envy. And then, I thought "no, Haley, envying is not nice." So, I let it inspire me!

The color on the living room walls will most likely be the color throughout the house (for now).

And if it kills me, I WILL re-create that foyer. And have those wood floors. And that couch.

So, basically, white, and gray, and then pops of color. Grass green, deep turquoise, etc...

This girl is way excited!

{Closing Week}

Well, hello there, non-existent blog reader(s).


I am starting this precious work of art (in progress) to document our family's journey in making our new house our home. I have many great plans, lots of DIY projects, and even more sewing ideas to drive you crazy with!


Are you wondering who I am yet?  I am Haley. I am married to 'Q'. Our little ball of amazingness will be endearingly referred to as 'H'. side note: H is a girl and is approximately a year and a half old and is also near perfect. (except for when she acts like a 1 1/2 year old) 


ANYWAY! We close first thing Thursday (the 12th) and the old-lady-wallpaper-removal project will begin. Pictures will be added at some point. Paint will follow and then moving in will follow that! We are hoping to be sleeping there by Saturday night (EEK!)
